Trauma Coach Photoshoot Leeds

My introduction into Marcia Hylton was via Linkedin. We chatted and she requested a discovery call with me. Marcia was keen for a trauma coach photo shoot and would I drive to Leeds? Leeds is an easy drive hustle for me, only 1.5 hours on the road! Navigating the city centre also wasn’t too hard!

Marcia is Director of Life Inspired Wellness LTD. She is a best selling author and she helps women break free from the pattern of toxic relationships, helping them to create new relationships and live a happier life after.

Marcia’s office space at home, like many, was not suitable to reflect the level of business to her potential clients. I sourced a city business centre with day pass access and beautiful break out spaces.

Cubo-Work are a midlands based office space company with brilliant urban locations and contemporary break out places. Not only are these spaces wonderful capsules to meet clients, they are super-cool and relaxed places to ‘get creative’ in and they certainly suit photoshoots. I have used Cubo Work many times over the last few years, shooting locations all over the UK. The staff are delightful and many newer locations have Prosecco on tap!

Marcia arrived early and was quietly waiting for me. Her smile lit up the room when I walked in and we spotted each other. It was like meeting an old friend because we had talked extensively pre shoot, planned together and then finally the meet up! It’s always exciting to finally meet and she just threw her arms around me and hugged me! It was a brilliant branding shoot. Marcia soon relaxed with me and we made some incredible branding photos together.

It’s important to show expressions in photos particularly for a client like Marcia. In her role as a Trauma coach based in Leeds, she has difficult conversations with clients. Her photos must demonstrate empathy, encouraging smiles, straight face expressions; the latter when delivering and receiving difficult information.

Her brand photos demonstrates well: straight faced shots for delivering emotional content and potential client pain points. We shoot all the expressions that we had discussed. Her photos have started her visual journey and we had such a great day together I was sorry to leave her!
